A suitably brief look at the broader thinking of the Chief Executive Officer of the referenced company. Both sides, albeit insofar as the brevity of the piece permits, are presented. The link to the full interview from the original reporting outlet is a nice touch, as reading it provides valuable context. If the reader will allow me to briefly editorialize with regard to background, the idea proffered has often been discussed, particularly in academic circles for quite some time. Often referenced in this regard is the old AT&T (often referred to as 'MA Bell' - which was considered by many to be a 'benevolent monopoly') A worthwhile read (it is recommended to read the linked full interview as well). (Important Reader Note: The co-founder and editor-in-chief of this outlet is Henry Blodget. Whom, due to his violations of securities laws and subsequent civil trial conviction, is permanently banned from involvement in the securities industry).
