(WTHR) - The newly created U.S. Space Command is looking to find a permanent headquarters and some think Indiana should be in the running.U.S. Representatives Jim Banks and Jackie Walorski sent a letter to the Air Force secretary asking the government to consider Grissom Air Reserve Base in Miami County.Among the reasons for the recommendation is the significant room for housing and office space, a runway that was designed as an alternative landing for space missions and a low cost of living in Indiana.Once fully up and running, the headquarters will be home to about 1,400 military and civilian employees.The military said it will make a decision on the headquarters next year.Filed under:&nbsp;
