The story speculates as to the reason behind the censorship, but, the primary point is verifiable, and they let the reader know at one point that China has declined to say why.

Even if in the article the informations you’ll find aren’t to precise, is a good way to see what probably made Tarantino deciding for this take-it-or-leave-it.

Great Context

This article provides a surprising amount of context and makes it crystal clear when it speculates, I think accurately, that the portrayal of Bruce Lee in the film is what has alarmed Chinese censors. The authors take a story with many different angles and does well not to oversensationalize. Good work by the author duo.
