Pure Opinion

This is an opinion piece, not a news piece, and is properly presented as such. So it will be by definition biased, in this case towards a pro-Democratic view. The arguments are presented without obvious logical errors and in good faith, even if someone with opposing views will be unlikely to agree with its arguments after reading it.

I'm not totally sure how to respond to this because it's not really "news." It's analysis, certainly with a liberal bend. I think it's a reasonable interpretation of what's happening, but when Serwer starts talking about the Republican Party, I wish he used a bit more attribution. For example, he says: "As the parties have become more racially polarized, and the Republican Party has become more exclusively white and Christian, Republicans have begun to think of themselves as the only genuinely legitimate actors in the polity." I don't think that's an unreasonable position, but Serwer doesn't really use any evidence to directly support that. This is a longer op-ed, and readers should treat it as such.

A hackneyed, hyperbolic, and caterwauling piece of word-salad. Not an example of journalism by any stretch of the imagination, but more a hastily constructed combination of political screeds. The author's bias is shot-through this incoherent affront to the intellect of the inquisitive reader seeking unbiased commentary. Not a worthwhile read. Your humble critic had to practically flog himself to get through it.

Amazing how an article on the Trump/Ukraine impeachment scandal can be as long & detailed as it is without once exploring the idea that maybe, just maybe, the Bidens are actually guilty of the allegations Trump is asking Ukraine to investigate? Or doesn't that actually matter here? Apparently not even worth considering, if this typical example of political narrative-driven "journalism" is to be believed.

Great article that helps explain the reason Republicans are not turning against Trump.

The opening paragraph of this article unfortunately sets the biased tone of the rest of the piece. The author decides to open with a really bold an opinionated paragraph pointing out a few of the major "Trump cases" that passed under the radar of the democratic party. Even though the author tries to redeem himself throughout the entirety of the piece trying to contextualise the facts and be unbiased, as a reader I felt the first paragraph stuck with me until the end of the read.

Author Adam Serwer makes his political leaning known right out of the gate with a first paragraph that throws punch after punch at Trump, framing each punch as a justifiable reason for impeachment. Unfortunately, even though the remainder of the article could add perspective to any reader, many on the right will avoid the piece entirely because of the first paragraph's framing. I'd also point out that very little to none of this article is actually about the reasons 'Why Republicans Aren't Turning on Trump'.
