Disturbing, to say the least. However, sexual crimes in USA seem to be much less enforced, and obviously the Church was either turning it's gaze away, or worse allowing it to happen & being aware that abstinence is unrealistic for many men regardless of their title & costumes. Hard to imagine the Catholic Church (or any church) has any moral high-ground after the revelations of institutionalized molestation & protecting the molesters, but leaving scores of victimized children by the wayside.
