Des Moines RegisterTwo people were killed in Davenport after unrest that included rioting and numerous&nbsp;shootings, officials there said Monday.Around 10 p.m. Sunday, police heard disturbances around the NorthPark Mall involving 100 vehicles and "rioters,"&nbsp;Davenport Police Chief Paul Sikorski&nbsp;said in a&nbsp;news conference around 5 a.m.Police responded over 20 shots fired calls, Davenport&nbsp;Mayor Mike Matson said at a 9 a.m. news conference.&nbsp;There were four shooting victims, including a Davenport police officer, Matson said.&nbsp;People died in shootings at a Walmart on West Kimberly Road and in the 1100 block of West 15th Street, Sikorski said. Police are investigating the fatalities as homicides.&nbsp;Around 3 a.m., officers were ambushed in the area of 15th and Myrtle streets, Sikorski&nbsp;said.&nbsp;Three officers were riding in the same vehicle at the time and the vehicle was in motion when they were ambushed, he said.&nbsp;One officer was&nbsp;shot, one officer returned fire and several rounds hit the officers' vehicle, he said.MORE:Two officers are now on paid administrative&nbsp;leave and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting,&nbsp;Sikorski said.&nbsp;This protocol is normal following officer-involved shootings, he said.&nbsp;"They were not like the&nbsp;protests and demonstrations Saturday," Sikorski said. "What we experienced tonight, last night was completely unacceptable and it does not honor the memory of Mr. Floyd."Police confirmed there were more than 45 "serious disturbance" calls,&nbsp;Sikorski said.&nbsp;"I will tell you they were rioters because that's what they were doing this evening,"&nbsp;Sikorski said.&nbsp;The injured officer is "doing well and in pretty good spirits,"&nbsp;Sikorski said at the 9 a.m. news conference.&nbsp;Around 12:30 a.m., Davenport requested residents stay at home because of the ongoing "civil unrest." On Facebook, the Davenport Police Department clarified that the order does not require residents to stay home."No mandatory shelter in place was issued," the said on Facebook.&nbsp;Scott County and Davenport officials&nbsp;announced a curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. "until further notice."&nbsp; All community members are asked to stay home during this time except individuals going to and from work, government officials and credentialed members of the media, they said.&nbsp;Retailers had some advance notice of last night's unrest because of warnings issued on social media,&nbsp;Sikorski said. Police are still trying to determine the identities of all parties involved,&nbsp;Sikorski said.The unrest appeared to be loosely organized,&nbsp;Sikorski said."Damage and bodily harm do not promote justice" Matson said. "Instead, rioters, looters create division within our community."&nbsp;
