Denver police arrested a suspect Sunday who is accused of crashing their car into a patrol vehicle in a that injured three officers and a person being taken into custody as wound down.The suspect has not been publicly identified, nor have charges been announced. An earlier Denver Police Department bulletin described the crash as an “attempted murder.”“Last night a person drove a car directly into three police officers and an innocent bystander,” Denver police Chief Paul Pazen said at a news conference. “…A vehicle of interest has been located and we are actively investigating this crime.”Three hours later, city officials announced in a news release that a suspect had been arrested but that investigators still were seeking more information about the crash.One of the three officers remained hospitalized Sunday with what a police spokesman characterized as “major fractures.”“He is expected to make a full recovery,” Pazen said, noting the other two officers had been released from the hospital.Pazen did not address the condition of the person who was injured while being taken into custody. Police have not provided any information about that person’s injuries.The four were hurt late Saturday night when a Chevrolet Cobalt or Cruze ran into a police cruiser, according to the Denver Police Department.
