The article is a lengthy read, but it does cover the issue of data security in the medical field with good breadth and detail.

The article shows privacy of patient records has been raised repeatedly as an issue, but that we entrust the protection to people who don't know what they're doing, and the government has weakened its efforts to protect against “willful neglect.”
The article might've been better had it attempted a stab at what fraction of people's images are so easily available—the examples all seem relatively small parts of the US medical system. But the story doesn't seem sensationalized, even as it mixes in vet records as part of the problem.
