Story continues below advertisementThe argument continues after residents of the home go onto a balcony and continue to exchange words with the man who wanders back and forth from the sidewalk to the house property.CJ Mayers, who posted the video and was there at the time of the incident, said he had no idea who the man was.“This guy that we’ve never met before … he came to our home and was making some accusations saying that we were trying to talk to his daughter. I never met his daughter, never seen his daughter, didn’t even know that this daughter existed until the day of,” Mayers told Global News.“I think it’s pretty ridiculous that someone could use those words and so much hate and bring it out of nowhere and try to bring me down.” Story continues below advertisementMayers said they called police and it took officers about 30 minutes to arrive, at which point the man allegedly used a racial slur against a Black police officer.“People don’t want to talk about it that racism is very prevalent here,” Mayers said.“I was already aware of racism and how it happens down here, but with that happening now I’m going to be more vocal about it.”Peel police said the incident occurred on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. on Delphinium Way, near McLaughlin and Mayfield roads.When police arrived at the scene, there was an altercation between officers and a man on the property, officials said.Police said the incident is being investigated as hate-motivated.
