While these quirky creatures are known for their ability to swim and hold their breath for an impressive six minutes, this little guy found himself in need of a helping hand (or paw) to escape the rising waters. The video below posted by @WeatherNation&nbsp;documents the rescue.
The video opens with the deputies cruising around on flood waters in Trinity County. One of the deputies notices the armadillo swimming for his life.
They bring the boat up to him and the deputy up front grabs the little rascal by the tail and brings him aboard.
The little guy seemed exhausted as they put him down in the boat to let him dry off a bit.
