Upstate New York pet psychic Shira Plotzker, who claims to have spoken to dogs, snakes, wolves and elephants, charges a $100-per-half-hour-price-tagged “service.”
Still, once-dubious experts are actually starting to come around to Plotzker’s talents.
Dr. Aleda Cheng, a New Jersey-based veterinarian, tells the Guardian that she went from skeptic to pet-psychic evangelist after the owner of an ailing cat she was treating reported that the pet communicator recommended acupuncture.
“When I first started vet school everyone thought acupuncture was voodoo medicine; now it’s very accepted by mainstream veterinarians,” Cheng says. “I think in the future we might find there is something to psychic medication.”
Client Janis Kowalski can’t stop kvelling over Plotzker’s talents since the pet psychic pronounced, “Your new dog loves going in the pool with your son, but when your husband came home with a sprinkler he didn’t like that — he only likes the pool.”
