This is a troubling subject and the way it was presented was sub-par, in my opinion. The author quoted a few officials and mentioned some court case results, which upon further research turned out to be truthful and accurate, but failed to provide an appropriate directory for the ready (i.e., a link). Many of these cases took place in 2015, yet not only did AP publish this on September 17, but so did The Washington Post - literally verbatim. This makes me think there is some recent hype about the issue that resurrected it from 2015, but there doesn't seem to be sufficient background information or clear conclusion, except for: don't be intimidated when requesting public record. Poorly written/presented and failure to provide source directories gets this author a "lack of reliable sources" label, but due to its political relevance and ultimate accuracy, it recieves a "newsworthy" rating.

There is absolutely no information about what lawsuits or otherwise this article is talking about. After some searching I was able to locate other articles about the lawsuits (such as this one http://www.kentucky.com/news/local/counties/fayette-county/article135400309.html), so I think the information is accurate it just lacks any useful citations.

Author, Ryan Foley, didn't link a single source to where these accounts may have been published elsewhere. Although I trust the information provided from the quotes, I'd put full trust if he had sourced his claims.

Although part of me trusts the information being presented, there is a total lack of sourcing in this article. If links were provided I would have likely selected Trust.
