This article highlights the important successful test of storing light energy as sound inside of microchips. This technology appears to be the next wave of evolution in hardware and is now proven to be more than just a theoretical exercise. Admittedly, I'm way out of my depth on this topic, but the author tries to make the material accessible for the average reader.
