The article includes direct quotes from both parties regarding the issues at hand. At times though, especially towards the end, I felt like I had to sift through the article to separate the facts from speculation.

The author keeps speculating as to the thoughts, feelings, and motivations of Republican leaders. Rather than provide the facts, Jordan Carney is trying to create a story that makes sense given the information, connecting dots unneccesarily.
