A man has been arrested after two police officers were injured in a chainsaw attack. 
People in the town of Paisley, just outside Glasgow, were told to stay in their homes on Monday afternoon. 
One resident filmed a man running down the street holding the power tool, apparently chasing the cops. 
They were later treated for injuries by paramedics at the scene in Glasgow Road. 
Police later confirmed that a 30-year-old man had been arrested. 
Images show a police car crashed into the wall of a home after an alleged collision between to vehicles during a chase. 
A dark coloured Volkswagen is also seen with its front badly damaged.
One local told the Scottish Sun: ‘It’s a busy road but it’s the first time I’ve seen the likes of this. 
‘Thankfully no one appears to have been seriously hurt which is the main thing.’
Police Scotland said: ‘Around 1pm on Monday, May 6, 2024, a disturbance involving a weapon occurred following a collision involving a car and a stationary police vehicle on Glasgow Road in Paisley.
