A fairly in-depth look at the referenced issue. The author takes a balanced approach which belies no bias. Well-written and sourced with good expository quotes. The piece contributes contextually to the ongoing debate over the matter and the prospective reader will come away better informed.

This article does well to remain balanced in its coverage of the story, which I appreciated. However, author Paul A. Eisenstein could have gone much deeper in explaining the California automaker policy and what aspects of that policy the Trump Administration rollback would affect. I left this article wondering what the original agreement was that California made with automakers, and how the rollback would interfere with it. Overall a good piece, but it certainly leaves the reader wishing for more context.

An overall balanced article but it was a little surface level in discussing the California automaker policy and what it would do. Because of this lack of context I gave it one less star.
