Gleason, Jefferson’s chief quality officer, said in an email that the organization, like most health systems, has had limited access to remdesivir.“We appreciate the state’s efforts to expand supply to Pennsylvania hospitals, and we support increased production of remdesivir in part because of the need for additional scientific evidence on the best uses for it,” he said.The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center each had just under 100 COVID-19 cases at the hospital’s peak, beginning during the week of April 20, a health system spokesperson said.
