A man carrying a sword was arrested after reports a vehicle was crashed into a house in Thurlow Gardens, before&nbsp;a number of people were reportedly&nbsp;stabbed shortly before 7am today (April 30).
  It is believed that the suspect allegedly attacked members of the public and two police officers.&nbsp;
  They were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where their&nbsp;conditions are unknown.&nbsp;
  Footage posted to social media appears to show&nbsp;a man wielding a sword and walking around a residential road.
  A 36-year-old&nbsp;man was arrested in connection with the incident and he remains in police custody.&nbsp;

  Officers say there is no ongoing threat to the wider community and that they are not&nbsp;looking for more suspects.
  Police added that the incident does not appear to be terror-related.
  Wes Streeting, the MP for Ilford North, wrote on X (formally known as Twitter): "A critical incident has been declared in Hainault.
  "There are station and road closures in place. The police, ambulance service and fire brigade are responding."
  The station remains closed as the incident is being dealt with by police.
  Deputy Assistant Commissioner Ade Adelekan said: "This must have been a terrifying incident for those concerned.
  "I know the wider community will be feeling shock and alarm.
  "People will want to know what has happened and will we provide more information as soon as we can.”
  A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 6.54am this morning to reports of an incident near Hainault underground station.
  “We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, clinicians in response cars, advanced paramedics and&nbsp;London’s&nbsp;air ambulance.
  “At this time we understand members of the public and two police officers had been attacked.
  “Working together with our emergency services partners, we treated five people on the scene and took all five to hospital.
  “All crews have now left the scene.”
