The article is not critical of many issues surrounding the manufacturing of toys and buys into the idea that "interacting with a toy that converses using generative AI" is sufficient to address the screen time problem for children when, in fact, the toy is just another form of technology, akin to a computer, and does not replace human contact and forms of social interaction that scientists consider healthy for human life.
