Your doctor can help you if you need help with gradual weaning.Food allergies and intolerances can trigger migraines, according to a study published in the journal Headache and Pain Magazine.A 2020 study published in the journal nutrient found that processed foods, processed meats, red wine and aged cheeses are common culprits.Coffee can also be the cause of your morning headache. If you don’t eat as much as usual during the day, your body may go through withdrawal at night. This could be a sign to quit coffee and avoid caffeine in the afternoon.If you suffer from anxiety or depression, you may be more prone to headaches, even in the morning.The connection also goes the other way, as people who suffer from migraines, according to Dr. Shadbehr is more likely to suffer from depression or anxiety.According to NHS guidelines, it is important to seek help from a GP if you think you are depressed. They may also be helpful if anxiety interferes with your daily life or causes you distress.There is a very small chance that your morning headache is caused by increased pressure in your brain due to a brain tumor or mass.It’s very rare for this to be the cause of your headache when you wake up, and it wouldn’t be the only symptom you feel.Cancer Research UK recommends you speak to a GP if you have a headache:
