Jump directly to the contentUS NewsWorld NewsUK NewsA PASSENGER jet took off with two missing windows and reached altitudes of 15,000 feet before the crew on board realized, investigators have revealed.The plane was supposed to head to Orlando after leaving London Stansted Airport on October 4.The Titan Airways Airbus-A321 flight was carrying 11 crew members and nine passengers.The windows had been damaged following a filming project the day before the flight, per an Air Accidents Investigation Branch report.Passengers on board said the cabin inside the plane seemed to be louder and colder than usual after taking off.One of the crew members – a loadmaster – surveyed the cabin and noticed it was noisier.He spotted that a window seal was flapping and a windowpane had appeared to have slipped, per the report.The loadmaster claimed the noise was “loud enough to damage your hearing.”The plane continued to climb and reached a maximum height of 14,500 feet before returning to Stansted - 36 minutes after taking off.Passengers were urged to keep their seatbelts fastened and reminded about their oxygen masks.The plane landed safely and it emerged that two windows were missing.And, the seal from a third window had been displaced, according to the aviation report.A fourth window protruding from the fuselage was also discovered.The windows that were damaged were deformed and had shrunk.Investigators said the powerful lights were shone on the aircraft to give an illusion of a sunrise.The lights were shone on the right side of the plane for around five-and-a-half hours before moving to the left side.It emerged that the lights had been shining on the left side for four-and-a-half hours.The plane had previously been used by King Charles and Queen Camilla for a trip to France.The U.S. Sun has approached Titan Airways for comment.TopicsNEW STORIES ON THE SUNYOU MIGHT LIKERECOMMENDED FOR YOUMORE FOR YOU
