Jonathan HuffWAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man facing his 5th OWI will have a plea and sentencing hearing next month.Jonathan Huff was in court on Tuesday for a scheduling hearing. That’s when court officials set the plea and sentencing date for November 9th on multiple counts tied to seven cases.Charges against the 41-year-old include possession of methamphetamine, resisting or obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, burglary, and criminal property damage.All of those counts have been cross-referenced together. A plea hearing in the case had been scheduled for September 11th but Huff failed to appear for the hearing. Huff was taken into custody the next week and given a $5,000 cash bond.OWI charges stem from an incident in September 2021 where Huff was found asleep in his vehicle as it was parked in a stranger’s driveway. When they were able to wake him up, he appeared confused and thought he was in Merrill. Instead, he was in the Village of Maine.Officers say the car was shifted into reverse and Huff had his foot on the break. A K9 officer found 11 grams of meth in his possession.Huff had previously pled not guilty to the charges.
