He wants to live a simple life and be a good father to his daughter.But when his boss’s teenage daughter, Jenny, disappears, he must reuse the skills that made him a legendary figure in the shadowy world of covert operations. His hunt for the missing college student leads him deep into the heart of a sinister criminal conspiracy, setting off a chain reaction that will threaten his new way of life.“Levon’s Trade” has its origins in a book by Chuck Dixon.Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross in The Expendables 4.Levon’s Trade has an even bigger name behind the script – and it marks the other reunion for Statham. Sylvester Stallone, who directed and starred in The Expendables series (now primarily directed by Statham), adapted the screenplay from Dixon’s book.It’s a title Stallone has shown interest in before; The book is the first of eleven books in Levon Cade’s popular thriller series. Stallone’s Balboa Productions previously developed the project as a TV series.Stallone has a long history as a screenwriter – he was nominated for an Oscar for 1976’s “Rocky” and most recently wrote the screenplay for “Rambo: Last Blood.”Producer Bill Block, whose company BlockFilm is supporting the new film, said:“I’m thrilled to be reuniting with some of my most talented and long-standing partners at Levon’s Trade. I worked with David Ayer for the first time on Fury and it was immediately clear that he was a director of the highest caliber. Jason and I have worked together on a number of films and most recently the three of us worked together on The Beekeeper. Levon’s Trade will be another spectacular action film and I am confident we have assembled the dream team to bring the first novel in this acclaimed series to the big screen.”Given that Levon’s Trade hasn’t even started filming yet (it’s set to begin in London in March next year) and the rights are up for sale on the AFM market this week, there isn’t one for the film yet Release date.Meanwhile, “The Beekeeper” will be released on January 12th.Director David Ayer on the set of the Netflix series “Bright”.
