MILWAUKEE&nbsp;– Milwaukee Brewers prospect and Triple-A Nashville left-handed pitcher&nbsp;Robert Gasser&nbsp;today was named International League Pitcher of the Year by Minor League Baseball. The award was voted on by league managers, and final decisions were determined by the Commissioner’s Office.&nbsp;Gasser is the sixth member of the Sounds to earn Pitcher of the Year, joining&nbsp;Chris Hammond&nbsp;(1990),&nbsp;Scott Ruffcorn&nbsp;(1994),&nbsp;R.A. Dickey&nbsp;(2007),&nbsp;Johnny Hellweg&nbsp;(2013) and&nbsp;Jimmy Nelson&nbsp;(2014). The 24-year-old is the first Nashville pitcher to win in the International League.&nbsp;The Brewers took home the Pitcher of the Year award at each of their top two affiliates, as&nbsp;Carlos Rodríguez&nbsp;was named Southern League Pitcher of the Year at Double-A Biloxi.&nbsp;Gasser went 9-1 with a 3.79 ERA and 166 strikeouts in 135.1 innings over 26 appearances/25 starts for Nashville in 2023. He is ranked as Milwaukee’s No. 5 prospect by&nbsp;MLB Pipeline.&nbsp;Acquired from San Diego in the Josh Hader trade in August of 2022, Gasser led all of Triple-A in strikeouts (166).
