(Two Bridges Jail)EDGECOMB (WGME) -- A Maine man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 3-year-old girl in Edgecomb on Christmas Day last year.Maine State Police say they arrested 29-year-old Tyler Witham-Jordan of Edgecomb on Friday, roughly 10 months after the child was killed.Witham-Jordan is accused of killing 3-year-old Makinzlee Handrahan on Christmas Day in 2022.On Christmas morning, investigators say dispatchers took a call around 7:40 a.m. stating Makinzlee was not breathing.Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home on Route 1 in Edgecomb. She was later pronounced dead at a hospital.The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta conducted an autopsy and ruled the death a homicide.Police say the cause of death is being withheld at this time.At the time of Makinzlee’s death, police say Witham-Jordan was her mother’s boyfriend.Witham-Jordan is being held at the Two Bridges Jail in Wiscasset.
