The first includes an unprecedented function to determine how long to fix a message at the top within a chat and a redesigned menu for attachments, the second a search tool within the Updates tab.The possibility to choose how long to fix a message in a chat was initially identified in the beta version 2.23.13.11 last June: then it was still in development – therefore not visible even to beta testers – and now it is released to a small group of users (always in beta).In essence, with this feature users are able to pin a message up for a certain period of time so that it can be easily retrieved at any time. The available options are:24 hours7 days30 daysIt is still possible to unlock the fixed message whenever you want, i.e. even before the defined deadline. The option is available for both individual and group chats.The second novelty of the beta version for Android concerns the redesign of the attachment menu, now with a tidier, more intuitive and modern appearance. Again, the feature is only available to a limited group of beta testers.The search function within the Updates tab is distributed (limited). This tool had been removed with the arrival of the Channels, now it is restored through the introduction of a search button located in the top bar of the application. This allows you to quickly search again for status updates or channels you have followed. It’s not a new feature, but it’s definitely a welcome return.
