All opinions are my own.If you are a Disney fan then you’ve likely heard of the Chase Disney Credit Card.&nbsp;Here’s the lowdown on the&nbsp;Disney Rewards Visa Card from Chase (this is my referral link) and an honest evaluation of the pros and cons.&nbsp;This card is not for everyone, so in this post, I’ll break down who would most benefit from the card.Let’s dive in!First, there are two versions of the Chase Disney Credit Card.&nbsp;One has no annual fee and the other (The Disney Premier Card) has a $49 annual fee but offers more benefits.For both cards, you’ll earn “cash back” in the form of Disney Reward Dollars.&nbsp;You’ll earn 1% back on all purchases with the no-annual-fee card. With the Premier card, you’ll earn 2% in Disney Rewards Dollars on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and most Disney U.S. locations.These Disney Reward Dollars can be redeemed towards almost anything Disney – on shopDisney.com, at Disney parks, and on Disney Cruise Line.&nbsp;A BIG reason to sign up for a new credit card is the bonus you’ll get after meeting a minimum spending requirement.&nbsp;Right now, you’ll get $300 in Disney Reward Dollars after you spend $1000 in the first three months on the Disney Premier Card.&nbsp;That’s a great return on a $49 annual fee!The no-annual-fee card only offers a $150 bonus after a $500 minimum spend in the first three months.&nbsp;My advice is to open the Premier card and get the $300 bonus, then after a year decide if you’re seeing enough benefit before you pay the annual fee.&nbsp;You can downgrade to the no annual fee card at ANY time just by calling the number on the back of your card.&nbsp;I have done this myself when I decided the no-annual-fee card made more sense for me.&nbsp;The first thing I like about this card is how easy it is to earn the sign-up bonus.You don’t have to track spending for months like you might have to meet a large minimum spending requirement.If you are taking a trip to a Disney park in the near future, you can use the card to make a payment towards your vacation to meet the spending requirement.&nbsp;A new perk to having the card is that you can save 10% on almost ANY purchase from Shop Disney (formerly Disney Store) when you pay with your Disney Rewards Visa and use the promo code DVRCMEMBER at checkout!You can use this code with any other codes such as free shipping!Get the Disney Rewards Insider magazine as a cardmember perkHere are some other benefits to having the card:So if you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World or are a frequent visitor, these perks and the easy sign-up bonus might be enough to merit getting this card.Plus you can choose from some fun Disney designs for your card and add a little Disney magic to your day whenever you see the card in your wallet.If you are willing to put in some time and effort, you can earn substantially larger sign-up bonuses with other cards.See my top five favorite cards for free travel here.If you are interested in opening other Chase cards in the future, you should be aware of Chase’s 5/24 policy. This might steer you towards opening a card other than the Disney Visa first.If you want a card to earn cashback on everyday purchases, this card’s 1% return isn’t very good.
