I mean, it’s JUST pumpkin. &nbsp;If I drink a pumpkin spice latte on August 31st, it is not going to affect you. &nbsp;But that simple mug of pumpkin-y goodness will definitely bring a smile to my face.Please, I beg of you, just let me have my pumpkin spice.&nbsp; Don’t make me wait till the official fall season.Even if it’s not quite September, I think consuming your weight in pumpkin baked goods and beverages is completely acceptable.&nbsp; At least in my world.&nbsp; That’s why I figured it was finally safe to share this recipe.This easy pumpkin bread recipe can be made quite quickly because you can mix it all in one bowl – well, except for the glaze, obviously. &nbsp;I totally love recipes I don’t have to pull out a bunch of different bowls to mix things separately in. &nbsp;The best part of this recipe, though, is the maple glaze. &nbsp;Maybe it’s the Canadian in me showing, but maple takes any kind of dessert to a whole new level. &nbsp;It’s what makes this bread one of my favorite quick bread recipes.I’m also one of those people who puts pure maple syrup in my coffee when I drink it. &nbsp;And my smoothies. &nbsp;and sometimes even my tea.But don’t worry, I’m not like Buddy from the movie ELF. &nbsp;I do NOT put it on my breakfast spaghetti.There’s a line for everything. &nbsp;Even maple syrup.So, anyways, you can make this easy pumpkin loaf with or without the maple glaze depending on your preference and how much time you have.This recipe makes 2 loaves. &nbsp;Unless you use mini loaf pans. &nbsp;Then this easy bread recipe will make a lot more.This post contains affiliate links.&nbsp; Please see our full disclosure HERE.Grease 2 bread pans and preheat your oven to $350 F.First, mix your dry ingredients together in a big bowl. &nbsp;So, that would be your 3 cups of all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of baking soda, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1 tbsp of pumpkin pie spice, and 2 cups of sugar.*If you don’t have pumpkin pie spice, use 2.5 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg, and 1/4 tsp of ginger in place of it.Next, add in your 4 eggs, &nbsp;1/2 cup of oil (I used canola), 1/3 cup of water, and 2 cups of pureed pumpkin. &nbsp;Make sure it’s pure pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling or you may find your bread a little too sweet.&nbsp;Mix well.Pour batter evenly into your prepared loaf pan. &nbsp;You will actually need two pans for this recipe.Pop it in the oven and cook for an hour or until you can poke a toothpick in it and it comes out dry.Now for the simple maple glaze. It’s pretty simple. &nbsp;You just mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. The secret to putting the maple glaze on the bread is that you want to wait till it cools down or it will just melt right off.&nbsp; The first few times I made this I’d get too impatient and pour it on too soon.Mix together 1 cup of powdered sugar, 2 tbsp of softened butter, 4 tbsp of maple syrup, and 4 tbsp of milk until smooth. &nbsp;You want to make sure there are no lumps in it.&nbsp;Take that glaze and drizzle over your bread in any fashion you desire!You will want to use real maple syrup.&nbsp; Just trust me on this.This sweet maple glaze adds a layer of indulgence to each slice of this moist pumpkin bread, making it an ideal companion to your pumpkin spice latte.When it’s done, let the bread cool on a wire rack before you put it in an airtight container, or wrap it with plastic wrap.The hardest part about making this maple pumpkin bread is trying to not eat it all in one sitting.You could even make this delicious loaf with a maple cream cheese frosting if you want something more decadent. &nbsp;However, it’s my favorite pumpkin bread recipe just as it is.Whether enjoyed on a slice of this bread its own, shared with loved ones, or gifted in mini loaves, this homemade pumpkin bread with its heavenly maple flavor and real pumpkin flavor is bound to become one of your favorite pumpkin recipes of all time.&nbsp;Everyone needs one good old fashioned pumpkin bread recipe, and in my house, this is the one!Related:&nbsp;Sweet Pumpkin Recipes (Because it’s All Things Pumpkin Season)Print RecipePin RecipeIs icing sugar different from regular white sugar?This bread is amazing!
