this is not new. I was very happy to see that a study confirms what we've known all along. "nigga" has become, for us, like brother. we use "negro" and "niggs" and in Puerto Rico where I was born, where the dark skin dominates, there is nothing wrong with calling somebody negro or negra. that is a term of indearment, paying homage to our beautiful skin color. it in this country, with its toxic birth, where we have this issues. my white girlfriend doesn't understand, but she's learning.

This just in: water is wet. And a recent scientific study found that white people react more negatively to being called a Cracker than they do the N-word. Seems like a bizarre extrapolation of random factors to justify racist apologism than it does as a legit scientific study

This is an interesting study into racial interaction. It makes sense to me that a White person would react positively to being called the N-word by a black person since black people tend to use it amongst friends.

A good investigative look into the use of racial slurs that were originally used to disparage African Americans and how when African Americans reappropriate the slurs and target white people, the slurs can be perceived as a friendly term. Very interesting and very straightforward reporting on a topic that will interest language and history buffs.
