Current forecasts call for rainfall of four to eight inches between Tuesday and Friday, with locally higher amounts possible, and winds of 25 to 30 mph, with gusts to 45 mph, especially near heavier showers or thunderstorms," Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense stated in a press release.&nbsp;Invest 98W is located near Pohnpei and is currently forecast to head toward the Marianas next week. The disturbance has the potential to bring heavy rainfall to the region early to mid-next week, according to GHS/OCD.The exact impact the disturbance will have on the Marianas remains uncertain, but model guidance indicates a high likelihood for gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall, GHS/OCD stated in its release.
