Today's Tech News and Reviews Image Credit: DisneyEver since Netflix began charging users for sharing their login information with anyone outside of their household, the only reasonable expectation is that others would soon follow. It was quite surprising that it took the company as long as it did to start acting on this. But as costs continued (and still continue) to rise and with everyone looking for a bigger cut, it was unavoidable. Now, Disney is next to take such action on its users on Disney+.The company has announced that it would begin penalizing customers for sharing their information with others beginning November 1st. I say penalizing since it hasn’t said anything about charging users an additional fee like Netflix is practicing. Instead, it seems to be leaning more toward the ban hammer than anything else. Saying that it would limit or terminate access to its services if it finds anyone violating its agreements.It does sound a little like the whole “don’t mess with the mouse” approach (aka, a bit strict). However, it will likely head in the direction of giving people options. At least it should if the company isn’t looking to lose subscriptions in the process.For now, the new changes will only go into effect for Canadian users. Likely rolling out soon after to the US and others if the company feels these new actions are successful.
