Integrating with various productivity institutions like office applications, meeting solutions, search engines, and even the digital assistants we carry with us in our pockets. Now, soon to also include Google Assistant.Recently, Amazon announced that it was looking to integrate LLM generative AI into its Amazon Alexa assistant in the near future. A powerful move that would give its speakers and app a noticeable upgrade. So you knew Google would plan to do the same.The company plans to give Google Assistant an upgrade by blending the two technologies together, calling it Assistant with Bard. Allowing you to be able to interact via voice, text, or images. So just like Amazon’s Alexa, it should affect both the app as well as Amazon Echo devices eventually as well (although Google hasn’t mentioned anything about its Nest devices/speakers just yet, in regards to this).For now, it will be rolling out “in the coming months” to both Android and iOS devices, and will include an overlay that will allow it to respond and react to various types of input. For example, it will be able to a create social post about a recent image you took. Reacting to various elements within the image. It can help you sort through your emails, plan a trip, or simply respond to people.At the moment, it’s hard to say what all it will be able to do since Google has referred to it being experimental and has only provided a few examples. But you can bet it will be scaled to have much more interaction with you that Google Assistant has had over the years.For now, it will eventually become available to those looking to beta test its features. Sometime in the “coming months”.
