I would have liked to have seen the article dive deeper into how private and public prisons relate in terms of cost. I would also liked to have seen more clarification on the new California legislation and what it means for the California prisons, both public and privately run. This was a pretty surface level story.

This feels like a bigger deal than the media is making it seem. This bill largely seemed to fly under the radar, even in California. This article is balanced on the issue largely stating (briefly) the history of the bill and that it was passed and awaits Newsom's signature, but does go into more detail about why people think private prisons should be banned. I hope it is true... and spreads as our leaders went bad for a while and I hope they are realizing this now, but today I do not know if anything I see is real or fake so I will remember advice from a wise friend, believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see. I will follow my gut and try to spread peace no matter the situation. People seem to be more worried about taxes going higher than Human Rights which is saddening , the only thing people think is about money and their minds are closed to no other solutions?
