×ViewPETALING JAYA: Malaysia and the United States have agreed to cooperate on any potential Covid-19 vaccine, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. The Prime Minister said he received a phone call from US President Donald J. Trump on Friday night (May 8). According to Muhyiddin, during the 30-minute conversation, he and Trump discussed the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the approaches taken in their respective countries. “We also emphasised the importance of working with the international community to reduce the impact of the pandemic on the well-being of the global community and the global economy. “These efforts include enhancing cooperation in the development of vaccines and medicines, as well as equal access to the Covid-19 vaccine later on,” Muhyiddin said in a Facebook post on Friday (May 8). Muhyiddin added that they agreed to ensure the smooth supply of critical equipment and other supplies, especially during the global health crisis. “We also exchange views on issues of mutual interest in the context of maintaining security and global peace,” he said.
