Ocean conditions will lead to powerful rip currents.&nbsp;Ocean swimming is not recommended, obey RED flags and stay out of the water!MODERATE rip current risk south of Cape Hatteras including Frisco, Hatteras Village and Ocracoke. Only experienced surf swimmers who know how to escape a rip current should enter the water.&nbsp;Never swim alone, always take flotation!Strongest rip currents often occur a couple hours either side of low tide, which was at 6:20 am with next low around 7:40 pm today.Mostly sunny skies today at all beaches with a slight chance of showers on Hatteras Island.
