NewsLocal News8:13 PM, Oct 04, 2023TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office told 2 News a teen boy and girl were injured after being hit by a sign in the midway of the Tulsa State Fair on Wednesday. The juveniles were still in midway after TCSO initiated storm protocol, which cleared the fair. Both were injured and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. TCSO Captain Mike Moore estimates the sign weighed 2,500 pounds. "I mean, it is incredibly fortuitous that deputies were right there. And the fair vendors who were trying to secure their own food stands and stuff, you know. They dropped what they were doing, and everyone pitched in together and were able to get that sign off the teens and prevent further injury.
