In this blog post, we’ll share an easy-to-follow recipe for making delicious Muddy Buddy Crumbl Copycat dairy-free cookies at home.We have multiple family members who live that dairy-free life, and so we are always looking for creative ways to make our favorite recipes DF friendly. Here are some of our favorite DF sweet treats:Here’s a breakdown of the crucial components:Peanut Butter: The foundational ingredient of this recipe, peanut butter provides that nutty, creamy texture and rich flavor that defines Muddy Buddy cookies. Whenever possible, my preference for budget and taste are the Wegman’s brand Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips.Here are a couple of other great options (most of these are in stores, but I’m linking to Amazon listings just in case that works better for you):Non-Dairy Cream: The non-dairy cream replaces traditional heavy cream to create a luscious ganache. It adds a creamy texture without the dairy component, making it suitable for those with lactose intolerance or dairy allergies.&nbsp;Sometimes we use canned coconut cream for this. These delicious cookies have gained immense popularity for several reasons and are absolutely worth a try if you have a Crumbl Bakery in your area! Here are few reasons we love them so much:Freshness: Crumbl Cookies is renowned for baking its decadent cookies fresh daily. When customers visit, they often receive warm, soft cookies that are straight out of the oven, creating an irresistible aroma and taste.Variety: Crumbl Cookies offers a rotating menu of amazing cookies, with new flavors introduced weekly. I used this base for lots of reasons, not the least of which is that these cookies are easily made gluten free and dairy free and adaptable for other dietary restrictions.Here are a few more reasons to love this 3-ingredient cookie base:Simple Ingredients:&nbsp;I love that the only ingredients called for in this recipe are ingredients I always have on hand.Quick Preparation: The preparation process is speedy and straightforward. Mixing the ingredients takes only a few minutes, and the cookies typically bake in around 10-12 minutes. You can satisfy your cookie cravings in a snap.Minimal Cleanup: With fewer ingredients, there are fewer bowls and utensils to wash after baking. This makes 3-ingredient peanut butter cookies an ideal choice for minimal cleanup and less kitchen fuss.Classic Flavor: Despite their simplicity, these cookies have a classic and nostalgic flavor. The rich, nutty taste of peanut butter combined with the sweetness of sugar creates a delightful balance that many people find irresistible.Chewy Texture: When baked correctly, these cookies have a soft and chewy texture with slightly crisp edges. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to freeze Muddy Buddy Crumbl cookies:Instructions:Cool the Cookies: Allow your freshly baked Muddy Buddy cookies to cool completely on a wire rack. This is essential to prevent condensation and maintain the cookie’s texture. It’s also important that the ganache on top has started to firm up at room temperature before putting in the freezer.Prepare for Freezing: You have a couple of options for freezing:Label and Date: It’s a good practice to label the container with the type of cookies (“Muddy Buddy Crumble Dairy Free”) and the date of freezing. This helps you keep track of their freshness.Freeze: Place the airtight container or the individually frozen cookies in the freezer. Make sure they are stored in a part of the freezer where they won’t be crushed or damaged.Thaw and Enjoy: When you’re ready to enjoy your Muddy Buddy cookies, remove them from the freezer and let them thaw at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on their size and how frozen they are.
