He lived March 2, 1904 to September 24, 1991.Dr. Seuss wrote and illustrated more than forty books. Over 200 million copies of his books have been sold and some books have been translated into multiple languages.&nbsp;Some favorite Dr. Seuss books include: The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Hop on Pop, Fox in Socks, There’s a Wocket in my Pocket, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish (the book which inspired this project).Young readers enjoy books written by Dr. Seuss. When you’re done printing your fish, roughly cut them out.Roll your contact paper out and cut 2 pieces for each fish that will cover them entirely.Place your fish onto the contact paper and smooth out any air bubbles.Place the second piece of contact paper on top of your fish and smooth out any air bubbles.Now that your fish are laminated, you will want to cut each fish out.Turn your fish over and glue magnets on the back with a strong glue. E6000 does the job quite well but any strong glue will do the trick. You want to use a strong glue because hot glue or white school glue can peel right off the contact paper once dry.Write numbers on the back of the fish with a permanent marker.It’s time to build your fishing pole! Cut 1 to 2 feet of twine depending on how long you want your fishing poles line to be. Tie your twine around one end of your wooden dowel and tie the other end of the twine onto a paper clip. Use E6000 to seal the knots. Use a blue piece of poster board for your pond. Cut out a fun shape to make it more realistic.Playing this game is really simple and fun! Let the kids get in line and take turns fishing. When the kids catch a fish, they need to look at the bottom of the fish for the number. The number is the amount of candy they have won! Have a big bucket of candy or small trinkets they can pick from. Invite the kids to play again and again.
