Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, a Republican, announced last week she would&nbsp;&nbsp;and allow&nbsp;services to be held across the state as long as they observe social distancing guidelines and increase sanitation efforts.&nbsp;Pence also will visit Hy-Vee's headquarters to hold a roundtable discussion about securing the nation's food supply. The company, which is based in West Des Moines, announced Tuesday that at its stores. In a news release, the company&nbsp;cited worker shortages at meatpacking plants and increased demand.&nbsp;Iowa is home to multiple meatpacking plants that have been hit hard by the coronavirus, with outbreaks prompting closures and disrupting the nation's food supply chain.&nbsp;President Donald Trump that said meat processing plants are part of the nation's critical infrastructure.Pence will return to Washington, D.C., on Friday evening.Separately, she would travel to meet with the president and vice president at the White House this week.&nbsp;“I’m going to give them an update on how we’re doing in Iowa,"&nbsp; Reynolds said at her daily news conference Tuesday.
