Today I would like to present you his LED Christmas tree and get your creative vein going a little bit. Until Christmas Eve there is still a little time to be creative yourself.Planed wooden slats measuring 24 x 44 millimetres serve as the basis for the Christmas Tree project. Marius then explains his handicraft work as follows:I milled a groove into the wooden slats, 12 millimetres wide and about 10 millimetres deep. Of course, the width of the LEDs and the cover is important here. Then I mitred the slats and glued them together with wood glue. Then I painted the frame white. Then I glued the LED-strip into the groove and cut the cover to fit. Then I put the cover over the LED-strip on the groove. Finally, I attached the finished fir trees to the self-made stainless steel base.For his project Marius used a conventional light strip, which has some practical advantages. The Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus is wider, so many covers do not fit. In addition, it does not bend as much in the corners and can also be separated only every 33 centimetres. This would therefore require much more effort and good planning.To make his LED Christmas trees smart, Marius uses a Philips Hue Smart Plug.
