Paint, glue, embellish and give the teacher an apple that will never go bad.Reuse wine corks or buy new ones to make an apple decoration. The wine corks are glued together and painted red. Create a stem by cutting a cork and painting it brown. Green felt is used to create a leaf. The wine cork apple is then ready to display or given as a gift.Whether you are a wine drinker or not, using wine corks to create crafts is a ton of fun. This cute wine core apple is perfect for a little fall decoration or to give to your favorite teacher. &nbsp;Plan ahead for Christmas and make Adorable Wine Cork Reindeer, too!And while you’re at it, make sure to drink some mulled wine while crafting.Stand 7 corks in a circle on a flat surface as shown. Put one cork in the center and circle the other 6 around it to form a round shape. Make sure the flat/undamaged end of the cork faces down.Line the corks up and then one row at a time, glue them to each other. Start by gluing the 2 “bottom” corks together, then the 3 center corks, then the top 2 corks.Once you have the 3 rows of corks, glue each row together with hot glue. Let sit for a minute for the glue to set up.Flip over the apple and paint the front, flat side, with red acrylic paint. You may need 2 coats. Let paint dry completely between coats. While the apple is drying, make the stem.Use a utility knife to cut 1 cork in half lengthwise.Cut again the half on an angle creating four pieces.Trim the angled end of each piece of cork to a point.Paint with brown acrylic paint. Let dry.Glue the stem to the top of the apple.Cut out a leaf shape with the green felt and attach to the stem with hot glue.Display the apples as part of your fall decorations!
