Outside of one good half against the Arizona Cardinals, the team has been downright bad. This was punctuated by Monday night’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The team gave up 11 sacks and couldn’t get anything going on offense. Many have criticized the former top-ten pick Neal and he had some words for those fans.Neal had a rough night against Seattle and many boos rang down from the stands. This team was in the playoffs last year and many had similar expectations going into 2023. Neal was a big part of those plans as many wanted him to take a second-year leap. This has not happened so far and Neal is tired of the criticism as he told Darryl Slater of NJ.com.Anytime a team is feuding with fans, it usually doesn’t end well. This is highly insulting to Giants fans as he basically calls them insignificant and insinuates a lack of intelligence as well. This is not the way to rally fans behind your struggling team. It is obvious that frustration is high, especially after an embarrassing performance in front of a national audience. However, calling out your fans for criticizing your obvious poor play is not the way to go. Hopefully, Neal will use all of this as motivation and improve his play.The New York Giants are in trouble.
