An outstanding work of journalism. An opinion piece to be sure, but only in a limited and narrow sense. Really more of a deeply philosophical rumination on how rhetoric is deployed in the political realm. Exemplary sourcing, quoting, and enlightening commentary. The Author's style is so engaging I was personally hoping she would go on for a good bit longer. Here you have a simply brilliant example of what journalism, particularly thought provoking journalism, should be. Interesting, informative and leaving the reader wanting more. It was so splendid I read it twice. An indubitably worthwhile and, some might even go so far as to say essential, read. Five stars!

More of an opinion piece, but at least it lays out it's argument with references.
