And then Pinterest often leads me to ads for Amazon.Fall is the newest season on our calendars.For some reason, fall somehow reminds me of new beginnings. though that doesn’t exactly sound right. Spring is the real time of new beginnings.But fall signals the leaves falling and the trees becoming stark and bare.And then of course it’s the beginning of the holiday season.Above is a rustic fall decorating style. Simple and sweet. I love all the “chippiness.”And pumpkins! Of course fall signals pumpkins and pumpkin pie. Oh, I do love a good slice of pumpkin pie! I used to bake them every year.Fall is the season of colors and scents all around us.Another simple fall scene. A velvet pumpkin laid atop fall leaves that in turn sits on top of a grapevine wreathe. Then books on a tray. Layers are fun!Sometimes I’m just scrolling through Amazon and something “fallish” catches my eye.This was the case with the brown decorative vases below. They’re not all that tall, but all are so cute!One of the very best aspects of fall is the food. Soups and stews with homemade bread. Casseroles to freeze for later. Hot chocolate cider.When fall is in the air, so too are the smells of cooking through open windows.I love melt-in-your-mouth fall desserts. Apple and pumpkin pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. I have a 40 year old pottery pumpkin on my front porch. I usually get rid of a few seasonal decor items every season and only buy one or two new things a season. I love fall.
