Coshocton TribuneCOSHOCTON − October means fall is in full swing. The Coshocton County Fair starts the month and Halloween ends it. Here are a few events to check out in Coshocton County this month.● An Oktoberfest will be from Oct. 6 to 8 and Oct. 13 to 15 at Wooly Pig Farm Brewery, 23631 Township Road 167, Fresno. Times are 1 to 10 p.m. Fridays, noon to 10 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. The event will feature Festbier and beer specials, Masskrug holding competition, stein holding competition, do-it-yourself brezel necklaces and other activities.● McPeek's Mighty Maze is open from 1 to 9 p.m. Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28, at Coshocton KOA Campground, 24688 County Road 10. The corn maze theme is The Amazing Bee. The event also features games, wagon rides, pumpkins, corn box, food trucks and more. General admission is $10, those 65 and older are $8 and children ages 2 and under are free.● The annual Apple Butter Stirrin' Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 20 to 21 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 22 in Roscoe Village. It will feature making of apple butter, live music, free crafts for kids, historical tours and more than 100 craft and food vendors. Cost is $5 in advance and $8 at the gate with children 12 and under free.● The 52nd annual fall foliage and farm tour will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 and noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 22, with a focus on the northwest corner of Coshocton County. The drive it yourself tour highlights local scenery and fall colors along with showcasing local agricultural industry and attractions. Maps will be available at River View Community Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. Donations are accepted.● The Scarecrow Town Festival will be from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 28, at Clary Gardens. There will be activities for all ages, light refreshments and a chance to walk the trail of scarecrows and vote for your favorite. The Scarecrow Shuffle 5K will be at 9 a.m. with registration from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at the Coshocton Court Square. Registration is $25 in advance until Oct. 26 and $30 race day.
