Low double bagel’d his opponent 6-0, 6-0, while Weir dropped a single game in the second set, winning 6-0, 6-1.With those matches ending fast, the Lions had an advantage for the rest of their doubles matchups knowing they just needed one to clinch the win.The duo that won the match for the Lions was the third doubles squad: Imani Brown and Vinh Nguyen were the combo that took down the Titans.Vinh Nguyen with the backhand. But today everything clicked and we played really good together,” said Brown.They lost their first set, 6-2, but were able to bounce back with a huge second set, not letting Todd Beamer win a single game.“We felt motivated. We wanted to win and we came back and we won,” Nguyen said.“After we won the first and second game in the second set, we just kept the momentum,” Brown said. “We were just feeling it.”What got them going in the right direction was consistency.“Our volleys and our serves were working well. We got shots in cross-court and everything,” Nguyen said.Even though they were the deciding match, the two didn’t feel as much pressure to win as one would think.“I had a lot more fun today.
