Chase Briscoe was the winning driver. An Xfinity race was scheduled for 2020 but was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.The track also has been host to Hy-Vee-sponsored IndyCar races, the ARCA Menards series and several high-profile concerts.The last NASCAR Cup Series race in Iowa was held in 1953.The title sponsor for the event is the Iowa Corn Growers Association and the cars will be fueled with Sunoco Green E15, a specialized NASCAR fuel containing corn-derived ethanol.According to Gov. Kim Reynolds, on average, NASCAR Cup Series races generate about $100 million in economic impact.The pullout from the series of Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California, which is undergoing renovations to make it a shorter track, created the spot for Iowa Speedway. Iowa Corn Growers Association CEO Craig Floss said the series could continue there past 2024, but there's no guarantee.
