They range from giant spiderwebs and spiders for your lawn to life-sized skeletons. There are also decorative bats, floating witch hats, themed string lights, jack-o-lantern and skull wax melt warmers, and sherpa pillows in pumpkin, ghost, and candy corn shapes.When it comes to seasonal décor, Aldi is not afraid to borrow inspiration from others. Aldi is known to imitate pricier name brands on a regular basis, whether it’s dinner rolls, breakfast cereal, cast iron bread ovens, or fancy French ovens.One retailer Aldi loves to copy is Pottery Barn. It’s an upscale home goods and furniture store that’s been around since 1949. Pottery Barn has 184 locations (as of 2022), along with an online presence, but sometimes you can spot products with Pottery Barn vibes at Aldi. Pottery Barn knockoffs — or dupes — I’ve seen at Aldi over the years include sculpted reindeer, small animal baskets, and large animal storage baskets.In a recent Aldi ad, I spotted some LED-illuminated metal jack-o’-lanterns that looked fun, but I didn’t pick up on their significance right away. Then, on an Aldi fan social media page, someone mentioned they’re just like some metal jack-o-lanterns that Pottery Barn sells. So I paid closer attention. Here’s a look at the Aldi Pottery Barn jack-o’-lantern dupes.Huntington Home Metal Jack-O’-Lantern in Matte Black.The Huntington Home Metal Jack-O’-Lantern (Product Code: 709575) is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store receives one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi chooses to bring it back next Halloween season. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not currently in stock at your local Aldi store.This metal jack-o’-lantern is scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on either September 24th or September 27th of 2023, depending on whether your local store sets out new specials on Sundays or Wednesdays.The Huntington Home Metal Jack-O’-Lantern cost $14.99 at the time of publication.That’s cheaper than the Pottery Barn Metal Jack-O-Lantern Candleholders. The Pottery Barn versions come in three sizes: mini (5″ H), small, (7.5″ H), and large (12″ H). At the time of publication, the mini size cost $23.50, the small cost $31.50, and the large cost $47.Aldi did not publish information in its weekly ad about the size of its metal jack-o’-lantern, so I’m not sure exactly how much of a savings the Aldi product is over the Pottery Barn products, but regardless, the Aldi version has the lower price.In addition, the Pottery Barn version does not appear to come with an LED pillar candle like the Aldi one does, so you’ll have to spend more money to light your Pottery Barn jack-o-lantern.Huntington Home Metal Jack-O’-Lantern in Matte Orange.Here’s more information, according to Aldi:This is sold under the Huntington Home brand, which is not a company. Rather, it’s the private label Aldi uses for various home goods.We haven’t yet purchased one of these jack-o’-lanterns, but I just might have to go hunting for one the next time I’m at Aldi. In the meantime, I don’t know how well this works or how well it holds up to regular use during the Halloween season.
