All of these articles about representation in politics, media, and business never hit on the actual problem - namely, that adding 'underrepresented' categories to top echelons of society never make a difference, because the additions are always - ALWAYS - from the wealthy elites. Adding Malia Obama to Harvard's student body doesn't improve diversity in any way, because her class position is no different than the bluest of blue-blooded legacy admissions. What's needed for actual representation to change is to have poor and working people added. That would be real representation.
