This is an opinion piece and doesn't pretend otherwise, but it nonetheless is informative and provides a valuable perspective on Asian geopolitics. Filipino politics might not seem like exciting news, but the Philippines occupy an incredibly strategic area of the world, and is currently stuck between the two largest world powers (US and China). This article offers an interesting examination of the new Filipino administration as it relates to that rivalry.
